The quiet commandment

Today I was reminded of a commandment I rarely obey.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” (see Psalms 46:10 or D&C 101:16)

“Be still” is a commandment. Our culture is wound so tightly in its obedience to the god of this world and his plan of business (i.e. busy-ness) that we forget this invitation to commune with God.  Sometimes it’s important to be reminded how One of the two masters asks us to show allegiance.
